Description. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of US was known as “Honest Abe." He worked diligently to maintain his reputation as an truthful politician and lawyer.
Legend has it that, as a small boy, Lincoln once borrowed a book on George Washington which was then ruined by rainwater. He immediately disclosed this to the book's owner and then worked in his cornfield for the next 3 days to pay it off.
